To meet the demand of the hot-water users and reduce energy consumption, setting booster pump station on the main pipeline is one of the commonly used measures. Taking a booster pump station set on supply water pipe as an example, through analysing hydraulic conditions of hot-water network, gives the determining method and application range of the optimal location of booster pump station for the minimal energy consumption, puts forward the adjusting measures of the work point of the water pump. With a calculation example, presents the application of the method to heating project design.
